Mary Ellen Thorburn currently works as an independent finance consultant. Previously, Ms. Thorburn was Vice President of Finance for Great Panther Silver Limited and Chief Financial Officer with Eco Oro Minerals Corporation. She has more than 30 years of experience in the areas of corporate governance, financial and regulatory reporting, business development and capital market transactions.
Active in her community, Ms. Thorburn is a Board Member of the Vancouver Art Therapy Institute and a Board Director and Audit Committee Chair for Madoro Metals Corp. She is a member of Financial Executives International Canada and a past member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia Mining Sector Forum.
Ms. Thorburn holds the designations of Chartered Professional Accountant and Chartered Financial Analyst. She also holds a bachelor of business administration from Wilfrid Laurier University.
